Many thanks for turning up after a day when the weather was threatening. Fortunately we missed the heavy rain by race time and also the thunder and lightning, which earlier we had thought might force us to cancel the race.

In the event it was very well attended again, and we saw a stunning run from Jackie Lee to break the women’s record by close to a minute.

Thanks to Outside and Original Source for sponsoring the event and to all our helpers. We are also indebted to Hathersage Primary School for the facilites, and to Peak Time for refreshments.

All profits from the race go to the Hathersage Gala Committee for distribution to local good causes, this year the race made a profit of over £500.
